MADDEN NFL 2005
Review Summary (Damon)
9.8
Gameplay EA’s football gameplay has always been great and still is. New additions such as the Defensive Playmaker controls have evened up the playing field between the Offense and Defense. The hit stick allows you to change the momentum of the game instantly with a big hit but also can open up a big play for the offensive if not executed correctly.
8.9
Graphics The game looks good especially on the Xbox version things are crisp and clean. Improvements surely can be made but all in all the graphics in this game are very good.
9.9
Longevity All you can say here is Madden has the best Franchise mode out there. Hands down! There are a few minor things that need to be improved with the draft and salary cap but the depth is amazing.
7.1
Presentation When you compare it to the other NFL football title on the market the presentation in Madden is behind. The Storyline Central is a nice addition to the Franchise mode but it gets repetitive after playing for a while.
8.1
Sound Crowds in Madden still aren’t where they should be. They don’t react well to what is going on in the game. The new cut scenes to the fans is a nice edition though and is worth a mention. You can also create your own fan which most likely will be a one time thing for most Madden ballers.
8.8
Overall If someone sent me to the store to buy a NFL football game for them I would return home with no other than madden. It’s a game you will still find yourself playing all year round if you are a football fan.
