this is originally Quicksand's idea (over at MM), but I thought it deserved its own thread, b/c its such a novel jesture:
EA should make Pat Tillman the coverboy. Its the least us as a community could do. he gave up soo much not only for his sport, but for all of us. even EA. spread the word, Tillman's my man!

Hmm...i'm not sure about this. I mean i'm Canadian (don't flame!)...and i don't really flow with the patrionism. But i don't really see how Pat Tillman has anything to do with the NFL right now, i mean he passed up a contract in the NFL to join the military. He doesn't really have anything to do with the NFL at all right now and i think it wouldn't be the right thing to put him as Coverboy. I mean I think it would be a respectable measure by EA to maybe mention him in the game somewhere, but i think there are too many hard working atheletes that deserve recognition aswell. Like Ray Lewis who's going to be this years Madden 2005 Cover Boy.

Haven't all the respectable tributes been made by those who it concerns.... the NFL, Cardinals, etc... ?

I started a petition to get him on the cover over at EA a while back. We got ALOT of posts but i changed my mind and he shouldn't be on the cover. He didn't want the publicity to begin with so why do something like this. If he was alive he wouldn't want to be on the cover.
