Since I noticed Andy sending these out by Nov. 1st, I better toss in my two cents.

A lot of it is the same old, same old, but here is a few ideas I've thought of that should keep Madden on top for next year:

Gameplay wise...

1. Fix the long pass, not every QB nor in every situation should it be done with ease. More explained in detail at the link on the bottom.

http://216.127.84.72/~admin1/forums/index.......T&f=8&t=516& (http://216.127.84.72/~admin1/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=8&t=516&)

2. Add some blindside hit/block animations in the game. At least during returns and open-field runs.

3. When one decides to go hurry up and no-huddle with their offense, have the other team (if controlled) to force bringing back their players set on defense. The hurry-up offense shouldn't have to wait on the other team's defense to perfectly set up, which eliminates the time utilized on saving for the hurry-up. In result, this will add some offsides and neutral zone infraction penalties.

4. Add an ineligible receiver penalty. If there's good physical corners on your team, that should cause the receiver to sometimes step out of bounds and try to come back in, thus making him ineligible.

5. More gang tackles. A good feature finally brought in, keep it going.

Management wise:

1. Allow us to freely edit players without salary cap restrictions. Who cares about us owners cheating. We are the ones that bought your product. Besides, it's not like we can use these adjusted rosters for online play since we are restricted to use default rosters only.

2. Let us have some way to convince players to not retire or even in some cases, come back from retirement. Some incentives used could be, money, team loyalty, desire to keep playing, whether he is still effective, or the Robert Edwards and Garrison Hearst case - out for 2+ years with near career ending injuries, yet desired and driven enough to come back. Maybe reserve 2-3 invisible, non-accessible slots within the rosters (free-agents) to place certain players that could be "comeback" players.

Stats wise:

1. Add the "assists and total tackles" stat, which is my reason for #5 in "gameplay wise".

Players/Ratings wise:

1. Some players that suffer a major injury usually never are the same. A leg injury should affect speed rating, a shoulder injury should affect catch rating. This will force some players to strive it out for a few more years before retiring early.

2. I believe player progression should be based more on a yearly performance basis over age/potential/playing time basis. I still say keep all those factors, but turn the ratio over to yearly performance. Actually, ditch the age factor since Jerry Rice should be rated a 90 despite his age. I found it disturbing where Quincy Carter can have season where he throws 11 TDs and 20 picks and watch his overall rating jump from a 71 to an 80. If you have a very, very sub-par year, your rating should drop. This will force consistency and attempts to bring players back to respectability.

Franchise/Game wise:

1. A PC/Console tradeoff. PC should have the mini-camp feature next year, and Consoles should have box score to track stats of every other game (CPU), to keep interest in knowing what's going on with other teams around your franchise.

2. Bring back online franchise please! If it must be a PC only thing, then so be it. But bring it back. It would be great to see it on console though.

For the casual gamer:

1. Somewhat resemblant of NBA Live games or Knockout Kings "slugfest". Have an "arcade" mode where you can do the deep passes from anywhere and where the Madden cards should only be used (meaning it should be crossed-out from using in franchise or "simulation" version games).

2. For the Madden Card "legendary" players, have the announcers announce their names when they make a play and have Madden tell some old story about that player.

Now I'm flushed out of ideas.

I think that there should be a line for onside kicks so you can know when to grab it.

Hey Emmitt, you said 2 cents not a dollars worth. Just messing with you. I woudl really like to see asst tackles now, since gang tackling is there.

I have been wishing for this for a while, please do something about off-season free agency. You can get every free agent available if you want. If I came off a losing season their should be some players who don't even want to talk to my team. This is common sense.

Also, I would like to see CPU trades again. This time make it more realistic, have the CPU trade more draft picks among other CPU teams. Not Charles Woodson for someones second string running back (of course I am pushing their).

Lets be creative for my dollar, please.
