Recruiting definitely needs to be more difficult. Maybe the recruiting could be less consistent. Right now, it's far to easy to build a powerhouse from nothing. As long as your record continues to improve, it seems too easy to recruit Top-5 classes.

a little option for in-season recruiting would be nice too... be alotted a certain amount of official visits for your school and decide when to give them (after season, weekend of big game, etc) and give each recruit's top schools list with visits and scheduled visits listed. Player positions need to be improved as well, maybe list both an offensive and defensive position for every recruit and show which is the primary position or what other positions they could possibly be recruited as. For example a guy may be a 6-2 180 lb runningback/linebacker in high school but it would show that he's being recruited mostly as a wide reciver with the ability to play safety. after recruiting you could decide what position they should focus on in spring ball and their ratings would improve in that area. same goes for returning players if you want to move a d-end to dt or a corner to safety.

I'd like even more depth to the recruiting feature. I tried the trial version of Front Office Football: The College Years (the link is below), and their recruiting is incredibly deep, with a hell of a lot more players to choose from. While I sure wouldn't expect a console game to match it for sheer detail, it gives a good idea of just how deep recruiting can go.

I'm pretty happy with the current depth of recruiting...it just needs to be MUCH harder...

I agree. I think that the depth of recruiting is good, with the exception that I think there needs to be a category for "athlete" that you can choose his position after you sign him based on his skill sets. It definitely needs to be a lot more difficult, though.

I think the entire recruiting needs to be reworked. You should send recruits points over a four week period, and they can receive a verbal at any time, but it's not a guarantee. If you don't keep sending people after a guy gives a verbal then his commitment could get soft and he could sign with another team. After the fourth week the prospects could sign, making it final or they could sign somewhere else unexpectedly. Then there should be a final week to sign prospects to fill the roster. This would make the recruiting much more realistic.
