The linebacker controls before snap are a little more detailed since this is the most active position on the field. One thing I must note is a sub category for each LB. After pressing the R1 button for Lb audible, each LB will have either square, x, circle, or triangle over his head ala passing icons. This will be used to assign specifc assignments to each Lb. The LB icons will be set as follows square-ROLB, x-MLB, circle-LOLB, triangle-2nd MLB(3-4). Here is the configuration for the LB's audible before the snap.
Key: W=left, E=right, N=up, S=down
Linebacker Audible push R1 then push
square..........................ROLB plays man
square(hold)+
L3(N)............................ROLB drops back in zone
L3(NE)..........................ROLB drops back in zone to defensive left at a 45' angle
L3(E)............................ROLB covers the defensive left flat
L3(SE)..........................ROLB blitzes to defensive left at a 45' angle
L3(S)............................ROLB blitzes straight forward
L3(SW).........................ROLB blitzes to defensive right at a 45' angle
L3(W)...........................ROLB covers the defensive right flat
L3(NW).........................ROLB drops back in zone to defensive right at a 45' angle
L3(push).......................ROLB returns to normal assignment
right(d-pad)...................ROLB shifts to the defensive left
left(d-pad).....................ROLB shifts to the defensive right
down(d-pad)..................ROLB moves closer to the LOS/ show blitz
up(d-pad)......................ROLB moves farther away from the LOS
x................................................. ....................MLB plays man
x(hold)+
L3(N,NE,E,SE,S,SW,W,NW,push)...................... ..same as above but for MLB
d-pad(right, left, down, up)................................same as above but for MLB
circle............................................ ...................LOLB plays man
circle(hold)+
L3(N,NE,E,SE,S,SW,W,NW,push)...................... ..same as above but for LOLB
d-pad(right, left, down, up)...............................same as above but for LOLB
triangle.......................................... ..................2nd MLB plays man
triangle(hold)+
L3(N,NE,E,SE,S,SW,W,NW,push)...................... ..same as above but for 2nd MLB
d-pad(right, left, down, up)................................same as above but for 2nd LB
right(d-pad)......................................all Lb's shift to the defensive left
left(d-pad)........................................all LB's shift to the defensive right
down(d-pad).....................................LB's bunch closer together
up(d-pad).........................................LB's spread farther apart
R1.........................................cancels LB audible
R2.........................................cancels "all LB's blitz/zone"(L1 or L2)
R3(push)................................cancels LB's shift( right, left, down, up)
R3(right)................................all LB's move into better position
R3(left)..................................all LB's move to normal position
R3(down)...............................all LB's move closer to the LOS/ show blitz
R3(up)...................................all LB's move farther from the LOS
L1.........................................all LB's blitz
L2.........................................all LB's play zone
L3(push)................................cancels QB spy
L3(right)................................LOLB QB spy
L3(left)..................................ROLB QB spy
L3(down)...............................MLB QB spy
L3(up)...................................2nd MLB QB spy
select....................................call timeout
start......................................pause
Note1: To return a LB to his original assignment after audibling him to man(R1 then square, x, circle, or triangle) hit the same button again.
Note2: The show blitz animation can be handled the same way it is now. The only difference is you control when the animation occurs now.
Final note: As with the secondary audibles/hot routes, you will not use all these every play, but it definitely gives you a lot more options and control over your defense before the snap. So when you need to, you can do whatever you think you need to do to stop your opponent.
